A well-equipped campsite near Poreč in Croatia, with excellent facilities and a handy location for exploring Istria. Four comfortable nights at Polidor Camping Resort, and an easy 8/10 from us.
🚐 Marina Stellplatz, Portorož (Piran), Slovenia
A comfortable marina stellplatz with spacious pitches, excellent facilities and an easy walk or cycle into the beautiful old town of Piran. We enjoyed our two-night stay and would happily return.

A simple, well-equipped motorhome stop in Slovenia’s Vipava Valley. With electric hook-up and the essential services included, Ajdovščina PZA was a convenient place to spend the night after visiting Postojna Cave.
Ljubljana Resort — Ljubljana 🇸🇮
A convenient base for visiting Ljubljana, but one that felt expensive for a campsite with only some facilities open. It served its purpose, although it wasn’t one of the highlights of our European tour.
PZA Vodovodni stolp — Kranj, Slovenia 🇸🇮
A modern five-pitch stellplatz in Kranj, just a short walk from the town centre. Good facilities and a convenient overnight stop.
Park Lijak — Vipava Valley, Slovenia 🇸🇮
A warm welcome and a beautiful setting in Slovenia’s Vipava Valley, but ongoing building work, unfinished facilities and a high out-of-season price made Park Lijak poor value during our stay.
Camping Bled — Lake Bled - Slovenia 🇸🇮
One of the finest campsites we visited on our 89-day European tour. Stunning lake and mountain views, excellent facilities, and superb walking and cycling straight from your pitch. A place that’s easy to recommend—and hard to leave.
Meathop Fell Club Campsite, Cumbria 🇬🇧
A peaceful campsite, friendly wardens, excellent cycling from the gate and a lovely pub just a short walk away. Meathop Fell proved to be the perfect base for exploring the Southern Lakes. 🚐🌿
Pembrokeshire - St Davids - Celtic Camping 🏴
A relaxed, spacious campsite near the Pembrokeshire coast, with open fields, simple facilities and easy access to the Coast Path. We walked into St Davids and caught the bus back — a brilliant way to enjoy this beautiful stretch of coastline.
