The Campsite

The name says it all! Set beside the Bregava River, surrounded by stunning countryside, this really is a little piece of heaven.

The campsite was officially closed during our visit, so we had the place to ourselves. We couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful setting.

Facilities

Although the campsite was closed, we still had hot showers and free use of the washing machines.

The facilities were basic but perfectly adequate for our needs.

Exploring the Area

Stolac is a lovely town with bars, restaurants and historic places to explore.

There are also some fabulous restaurants just down the road from the campsite.

We thoroughly enjoyed cycling through the surrounding countryside, although the hills certainly gave our legs a workout!

Our Verdict

One of those places we’d happily have stayed longer. Six nights surrounded by such beautiful scenery was a real treat.

We’d definitely return, particularly for the location and peaceful atmosphere.
