Location: Port Solent, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England
Type: Public car park / motorhome stopover
Distance From Ferry Port: Approximately 5 miles
Cost: £10.35 for 24 hours
Electric Hook-Up: None

Parking And Payment

A spacious car park with plenty of room for motorhomes, conveniently located about five miles from Portsmouth ferry terminal.

There were lots of motorhomes parked overnight, but still plenty of empty bays.

Parking is advertised at £10 for 24 hours, although an additional 35p charge brought our total to £10.35.

Payment can be made by card at the machine or through the RingGo app. I had already downloaded the app and found it very easy to use.

Our Experience

After arriving on the late ferry from Santander, we needed somewhere to spend our final night before heading home to North Wales.

I expected a noisy night, and although we could hear traffic from the nearby road, it didn't bother me. I slept like a log!

We didn't venture into the marina area. It was simply a case of getting some sleep, waking up the following morning and hitting the road.

Our Verdict

An excellent option for an overnight stop after a late ferry arrival. We'd happily use it again.
