๐ธ The 24-Chip Experiment
Morning calm, a fresh page, and a question: where will todayโs chips go?
๐ช I was reading a newsletter from Ali Abdaal last Friday โ heโs one of those people who blends curiosity, reflection, and productivity in a way that always makes me think. In this issue, he mentioned a book heโd been reading: Happy Sexy Millionaire by Steven Bartlett. (The title sounds bold, but the real message is about learning that happiness matters far more than the rest.)
๐ฒ Ali shared an analogy from the book that really caught my attention. He describes time as a set of 24 โchipsโ โ one for every hour in our day. Each chip we play is gone for good, so the question becomes: where do we want to place them?
๐ฟ It made me pause. Iโve always think about how I will spend my days, but never quite like this โ picturing each hour as a small, deliberate choice: a walk, a chat, a scroll, a moment of stillness.
๐ญ So this week, Iโm going to try it out โ just notice where the chips go, and maybe ask myself now and then:
Where do I want to place this next one?
โ No rules, no guilt. Just quiet curiosity about how those choices shape the rhythm of a day.
A gentle reflection to start the week ๐ธ
