Your Game, Your Rules
Sometimes the kindest shift is to play the game that actually fits your life.
💭 Lately I’ve been noticing how easy it is to let everyone else set the rules — deadlines, expectations, routines that don’t quite fit. I’m learning that we each get to decide what game we’re playing.
💌 Every Thursday, James Clear’s 3-2-1 Newsletter lands in my inbox and sparks a thought or two. This week’s issue (Oct 30, 2025) felt especially timely — short reminders about focus, resilience, and living with intention.
🎯 One line stopped me: what looks like a “talent gap” is often just a focus gap. It reminded me that the difference between moving forward and feeling stuck isn’t always about skill — it’s gently keeping attention on what matters, and letting go of what doesn’t.
🏁 That’s where “your game, your rules” lands for me. It’s easy to slide into someone else’s rhythm — their goals, their pace, their version of success. But the moment I define what “winning” means for me, everything feels lighter. I compare less. I create more.
🌱 This week’s reminder to myself: I don’t need to do more — just focus better, and on the right things. The rest tends to flow.
