Our take
This well-organised stellplatz made a convenient base for exploring Ulm. Located beside the Donaubad leisure complex and within easy cycling distance of the city centre, it provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
We enjoyed cycling into Ulm to explore the historic centre, riverside walks and impressive cathedral, whose soaring spire dominates the skyline. The city proved to be a pleasant surprise and offered plenty to see during our stay.
Popular with motorhomers travelling through Germany, the stellplatz was busy but well run, with good facilities and easy access to the Danube cycle routes.
A practical stopover that offered far more than just a place to park for the night.
