Our take
This relatively new stellplatz provided a comfortable and inexpensive base for exploring Boppard and the Rhine Valley..
The pitches were well laid out, electricity was included in the price, and despite its size the site felt peaceful and well organised. There were no water or waste facilities, but for a short stay that wasn’t a problem.
Boppard itself is a pleasant Rhine town with plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants. We enjoyed wandering through the centre and spending time soaking up the atmosphere.
The following day we enjoyed a lovely cycle ride along the Rhine to Oberwesel and back, passing vineyards, riverside villages and some of the area’s best scenery. It made a great day out directly from the stellplatz.
A simple, good-value stopover in a convenient location and a useful base for exploring this section of the Rhine.
